Born in 1988 in Qingdao, China, Meng Su has presented solo, duo (with Yameng Wang), and quartet concerts in the U.S., Austria, Germany, U.K., Korea, and Japan. Ms. Su has been the first prize winner of several competitions, including, at the age of 14, the 5th Vienna Youth Guitar Competition, the 48th Tokyo International Guitar Competition, the Christopher Parkening Young Guitarist Competition in the U.S., and the Iserlohn International Guitar Competition in Germany. In 2006, Ms. Su graduated from the Middle School affiliated with the Central Conservatory of Music of China with Prof. Chen Zhi.
Born in 1981 in Qingdao, China, Yameng Wang began learning the guitar with Prof. Chen Zhi when she was 10. At the age of 12, she won the 36th Tokyo International Guitar Competition, becoming the youngest champion in the history of international guitar competition. At 13, she was the second prize winner in the Alessandria International Guitar Competition in Italy, and at 14, she was invited by Radio France to perform a recital in the 27th Paris International Guitar Art Week and also in that year, she won the second prize in La Infanta Dona Cristina International Guitar Competition in Spain Yameng Wang has performed throughout Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea and the U.S., and her
recordings with GHA Company have met with warm responses in the world. Professional magazines including “GENDAI Guitar” of Japan, “Classical Guitar” of England, “LA GUITARE” of France, “Lute and Guitar” of Germany, all spoke highly of her. Yameng Wang graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music of China in 2006.
